L.A. prod'n rebounds publish-holiday
Despite last week's blustery winds, offlot feature and television filming in La rebounded smartly, after among the slowest periods of 2011. Total allowed production nearly bending a week ago to 710 days from 383 in the earlier frame, which incorporated Thanksgiving. The time seemed to be up 24% in the same week this year, based on figures provided Tuesday through the FilmL.A. enabling agency. FilmL.A. spokesperson Todd Lindgren stated the windy conditions hadn't cut into production, adding, "Possibly it is because the winds blew most strongly during the night." Feature activity a lot more than bending in the previous frame, signing up 132 days. The figure seemed to be up 45 days in the 2010 frame. The November. 21-27 figure of 58 days was the cheapest total of the season and under one fourth from the a lot of 246 days within the last week of June. Barbes Brothers' "Maniac" was probably the most active feature, with 16 allowed days. Other films shooting in La include "A United States in Hollywood," "Coyote," "Chastity Bites," "Drones," "Isabella" and "The M Word." TV shooting elevated 8% to 405 days, with "Steve Madden" because the most active single production with 4 weeks. Other TV productions presently shooting in L.A. include "Chuck," "Desperate Average women," "Southland," "Touch," "Celebrity Couples," "Miss Advised" and "Take advantage of Dryden's Fantasy Factory."
